Hey Friend and welcome back to my little corner of the internet,

I woke up before the rest of my household today, I shuffled into my house shoes and slowly made my way to the coffee pot. The sun was far from up and the rooster’s still slept outside. After making my cup of coffee, I settled down in my favorite spot on the couch and opened my bible.

Over the next few weeks, I will be studying the books of Samuel. I’ve finished chapters 1 through 10 so far and can say that the history of the bible...

Hey friend and welcome back to my little corner of the internet,

Tonight, I finished Galatians. Chapter 6 reminded me of some things I already knew, but it shined a light on some new things, too. If you have ever read Matthew 7:1, you know it says, Judge you not, that you might be judged.” I have had this verse of scripture replay in my mind so many times I have lost count. Whether it was being cut off on the highway or a snide remark from a co-worker.

Believe me, I’ve had my share of moments...

Hey Friend and welcome back to my little corner of the internet.

Today, I want to talk about Galatians 5 and what it means to be Called to Freedom. When we are hesitant to summit to the will of God, we refuse to come into the agreement with what God has in store for us. Which if you don’t know is a lot. More so than we can imagine or put into words. (Isaiah 55:8-9, Jeremiah 29:11)

My bible studying today was Galatians 5, and I want to share with you what has been laid on my heart.

In verse...

Hi Friend and welcome back to my little corner of the internet,

This week I have been studying the book of Galatians. I’m studying chapter 4 tonight, and I feel that God has laid it on my heart to share with you what He’s revealed to me in His word.

If you remember anything about the story of Abraham, then you remember his wife Sarah. Sarah was barren and unable to give Abraham children. Sarah also had a maid named Hagar who was not barren. If you want to find the part of their story I’m...

November Reflections: Whirlwinds, creativity, and a Life-changing read!

Welcome back to my little corner of the internet, friend!

November was a month of emotions, celebrations, and challenges. Between the holidays and my birthday, joy filled our home as family gathered around. I threw myself a party this year, and it was wonderful to celebrate surrounded by loved ones. Yet Thanksgiving reminded us of life’s fragility when we had to rush Little to the ER for a sickness the doctors couldn’t name. By the grace of the living God, we are pressing forward, holding onto...

He Heard Me: A Bedtime Testimony Hey friends, and welcome back to my little

Hey friends, and welcome back to my little corner of the internet!

Tonight, as the stars blinked softly outside and the day wound down, I found myself in one of my favorite routines, getting my Little ready for bed. We warmed up the “warmy,” that cozy little comfort so loved, and tiptoed into Little's room. The lamp cast a gentle glow, and my toddler, full of giggles and sleepy joy, bounced in my arms as I lifted Little over the crib rail and nestled Little into the awaiting comforter.

Beaks, Gardens and Olympic deer A Homestead Update from the Quiet

A Homestead Update from the Quiet Middle

I’ve been quiet lately—not because nothing’s happening, but because everything is happening slowly. The kind of slow that involves sinus fog, chick fluff, and deer with Olympic aspirations.

My manuscript is in the hands of my editor, and while I wait, I’ve been slowly working on the graphics for my children’s book. The publisher is patiently waiting for me to finish them so we can move forward with the next phase. It’s a slow process, but I’m learning to...

When Grace Meets the Fine Print Let me just start by saying: I love Jesus.

Let me just start by saying: I love Jesus. I really do. But today? I nearly threw my computer across the room.

I was trying to cancel an Adobe subscription early—thinking I’d just pay a small fee and move on. Turns out, “early cancellation” means you still pay the full amount.

Surprise!

Cue the internal meltdown. I tried to stay calm. I really did. But somewhere between the chat box and the billing terms, I almost lost my mind on the poor operator. And then… Jesus stepped in.
Not with lightning...

Hey friend, and welcome back to my little corner of the interworld...

Today, I’ve got a tale that most Southern homesteaders know all too well.

Chickens.

They were the first animals we brought onto our homestead—our feathery pioneers. Why chickens, you ask?
So glad you did. See, I like eggs. Scrambled eggs. Scrambled eggs with a homemade biscuit. Fried eggs with a good ol’ loaf-a-bread. Eggs just hit the spot. So naturally, I love my chickens... well, most of the time.

This weekend, however,...

Hey friend and welcome back!

Ready to jump back into what I learned at our annual women's conference? Me too!

Went last left off with going to God first with our troubles. Now let's get into what else that means...

When the woman who needed the miracle sought God and His will she was told to go home and use the oil she had to fill jars from her neighbors, sell the oil, pay off her debt and live off the rest of the earnings.

Three things we have to do to have the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

1.)...

Hi friends and welcome back to my little corner of the internet.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of going to our annual women's conference at my church. I have looked forward to the women's conference every year since I first started to attend. It is always life changing and is so eye opening.

The theme or word for the conference was Impart.

Things to consider during the first night of the conference or even a thought you were struggling with was, "Are you having trouble loving someone?...

In the night, He called. This morning at about 4:30ish I woke up with a

This morning at about 4:30ish I woke up with a verse of scripture playing in my mind.

Has that ever happened to you before?

Have you ever just woken up thinking something was wrong, but really it was just God waking you up to talk?

Now, don't get me wrong, I laid there and was like, "Lord, if that's you please let the verse wake me up at a more reasonable hour." Now, we can giggle about it at 8am but at 4:30 am? When the house was asleep and I had finally fell in a deep enough sleep that I was...

Faith, Love and Marriage Hey Friend and Welcome back to my little corner of

Hey Friend and Welcome back to my little corner of the interweb...

I want to talk to the mamas, to the seasoned wives, and to the overstimulated besties fighting through those first new years of marriage.

How are you doing?

If your answer is anything besides, "Blessed and Highly Favored," maybe something else comes to mind, let's pray.

God,

I come to you now, asking for help for my sisters in Christ. Lord, for whatever she's facing I ask that you keep your guiding hand on her, her mind, heart...

Hello, dear friends and welcome back to my little corner of the internet!

If you've been walking this journey with me, you know it hasn’t always been easy. There were delays, doubts, and a few hard goodbyes… but today, I get to share something truly joyful:

I’ve signed with a new publisher!

It’s official! The story I've been pouring my heart into has found a new home. After a difficult experience with my previous publisher, I wasn’t sure how or when things would move forward. But God knew....

Hello and welcome back to my little corner of the internet,

It’s been a while since I’ve shared an update, and truthfully, not much has changed—at least on the surface. But you know what? Every day is still a gift. I truly believe that.

Of course, there are those days when life is just... life-ing. Let’s be honest: sometimes the motivation runs dry, and the spark fades for a while.

I began this journey because I felt a deep calling to tell a story placed on my heart by God. I poured months into...

"When Fear bares its ugly teeth." Hey Friends,I want to share something

Hey Friends,

I want to share something that's been on my heart sort of heavy today. I haven't been able to push this back from my mind so, stay with me on this one...

Today, we got some bad news from the doctor. Not something I was really wanting to hear today of all days, but I did.

And so quickly, I could feel the Holy Spirit telling me not to claim what was being spoken over me. And it was HARD. Especially, when a trained professional is telling you something you had already began to allow...

I'm still studying Isaiah and Romans, simultaneously. Currently, Romans 5 and Isaiah 26. But in Romans Five, the first 5 verses I wrote down in a journal I keep. "We are justified by faith...." Verse one.

That first line alone has helped me this week. I am justified in my...

Hey friend,

Welcome back. I hope your day is going well and if not let's take a moment together.

Father God, we come to you now asking for wisdom and understanding. For heavenly discernment and patience in the things required by you, our teacher. Go before us in all things and behind us with heavy protection. Lord whatever may be troubling the reader reading this today, Father, give them favor, give them healing, give them peace and comfort. Lord, we know your love for us never falls short. And...

The week went off without a hitch!

It was the absolute best time. Despite the sunburn and the itchy skin, the trip was relaxing. We ate some really good food. We tried a place called Lulu's--while the wait times were long, the food was delicious.

We had sand in our hair and every piece of luggage, so we have plenty to remember the vacation for the next few days.

If you're needing that get away trip, do it!

We have faced so much, and the getaway was just what our bodies and minds needed to relax...

When the storms roll in... Mark 4:39 We are now on day two of our beach

We are now on day two of our beach trip, and though the sun has been generous, it left its mark—my husband and I are sporting shades of red that would make a lobster jealous. Thankfully, our little one remains untouched by the burn, full of energy and excitement.

Tonight, as I sit by the balcony of our condo, nature has decided to put on a show. A thunderstorm has rolled in, and the lightning streaks across the horizon in dazzling, jagged flashes. The sky, once painted in soft hues of sunset,...
