Hey friend,
How's life going for you today? Wherever you are and whatever you are doing I hope this find you well. If you need a little prayer, always feel free to reach out in the contact me at the bottom of the website page.
I'm still studying Isaiah and Romans, simultaneously. Currently, Romans 5 and Isaiah 26. But in Romans Five, the first 5 verses I wrote down in a journal I keep. "We are justified by faith...." Verse one.
That first line alone has helped me this week. I am justified in my faith in Him. "We have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ," is the end of that verse. How beautiful is that? How often does the enemy or even our minds make us feel like we are at war with God, ourselves or those closest to us?
In a world full of misery, KEEP YOUR PEACE!
The verses 2-5 says,
Through Him we also have access by faith into this [remarkable state of] grace in which we [firmly and safely and securely] stand. Let us rejoice in our hope and the confident assurance of [experiencing and enjoying] the glory of [our great] God [the manifestation of His excellence and power].
And not only this, but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance;
And endurance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation].
Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Particularly, verses 3-5, "hardship producing patient endurance". In today's times we are being faced constantly with the things going on all around the world. Rumors and happenings of war and the end-times approaching, if they are not here already. In this season I want you to stay patient in the hardship. Our heavenly reward (being reunited with our Lord) is so much closer than I think any of us actually know. We will endure this as Matthew 25:4-30 tells us. Stay ready for when the bridegroom comes. We do not know the hour or day, but the time is still appointed (Habakkuk 2:3).
You can endure whatever this world may do, because it is God who is preparing you. (Philippians 4:13)
A prayer for you:
Father, I come to you now. Your word tells us when two or more gather there you are in the midst (Matthew 18:20). Father, your word also says that if we ask knowing we have received that you alone will make it happen (1John 5:15 & John 14:13-14). Father, keep your hand on the reader of this prayer. Have mercy on whatever they may be facing. Give them strength in the hardships and patience in times of waiting. Love on them in times of sorrow and lift them up higher in times of joy. Father, thank you for your word and all your promises. We trust in your plan for our lives God, and we ask that you continue to keep us grounded in our faith and your word, as your time approaches when you return may our oil lamps be burning brightly.
We thank you for all you are doing in Jesus' name,
Amen!
Friend, stay focused. God is still on the throne, He is still in control. Do not allow today's problems to tarnish tomorrow's promise.
Stay blessed.
