Praying For Bravery and Courage

Hello Dear Readers and welcome back to my little corner of the internet!

Coming up with fun and interesting ideas for a blog can be overwhelming, and maybe even a little intimidating!

I can say from experience that it truly is.

Trying to decide what to say and how to say it better is definitely intimidating. In the brainstorming process I worry about it not being more informative or even inviting and inspiring. But I remind myself constantly to write from the heart. So, as the thoughts swirl vividly around in my head, I'll share what I am thinking.

Today, I am exhausted.

I think we all deal with that at some point or another. So, hopefully this resonates with you and any current situation you are dealing with!

Keep pushing, but remember you have to rest too.

We recently relocated to a town a little further out than where we grew up. So, as we are tackling the jobs we have before us, we're a little overwhelmed. Yesterday we finally finished painting the dining room. Trust me when I say it has been a CHALLENGE!! Our new house is around 40 years old. I love an older home. My personal opinion is that they don't make them like they used too.

The only downside we have had is all the outdated wallpaper. I'm not even talking about just an accent wall... It covers floor to ceiling and wraps around everything.

If you're thinking 'Bless Your Heart' you would match my thought to myself daily.

While it has been a challenge, I am happy to say we have two areas completely painted and it feels more and more like home. We still have a great deal to do but it is coming along well.

It took a leap of faith to start this journey. Moving to another town. Leaving behind friends and family. Granted we aren't too terribly far that we can't visit, but it is a bit of a drive. Especially with an active toddler. But through this time, we have prayed for strength and bravery to tackle the things God has brought us through. It has not always been easy, but it has definitely been worth it.

Along with this move I have stepped out in faith to begin my writing journey. I have started working with a publisher, and I am currently working on my rewrite and the illustrations. So, I am trying to do everything I can to get the message I know God has laid on my heart to tell out to the world. It has been exciting and a tad scary taking this first step, but I will continue to pray for strength.

If you're dealing with needing strength and courage pray this with me:

Lord,

Thank you for another day. Thank you for air in my lungs and the blessings that you have poured out into my life. Lord, I know you are a God of many promises, so today I want to ask that you strengthen me, your word says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians4:13). Lord, I ask for discernment for your voice and how you speak to me (Psalm 119:125). Lord, thank you for your reminder in your precious spirit to not lean on my own understanding, but in everything I do I submit to you (Proverbs 3:5-6). God, as I embark upon this journey, I ask that you lead me and guide me Father God go before me always (Deuteronomy 31:8 and Psalm 139). God thank you so much for loving me.

In Jesus name I ask and pray,

Amen!

Thank you for praying that prayer with me. I hope it brought you strength in Him and helped calm any nerves you are feeling. I encourage you to search the word for whatever you are dealing with. If it's strength or you just need a reminder that He already knows you and what you would be like/do read Psalms 139, Joshua 1:9, Psalm 31:24. If its anxiety, Psalm 23. For how to pray Matthew 6:9-13, Luke 11:2-4, also read Romans 8:26 as good reminder sometimes we don't always know what to say but the Holy Spirit does. If you're dealing with fear; Isaiah 41:10, 2 Timothy 1:7 John 14:17, Psalm 56:3-4. He is with you in these times (1 Corinthians 2:3).

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might! (Ephesians 6:10)
