The week went off without a hitch!
It was the absolute best time. Despite the sunburn and the itchy skin, the trip was relaxing. We ate some really good food. We tried a place called Lulu's--while the wait times were long, the food was delicious.
We had sand in our hair and every piece of luggage, so we have plenty to remember the vacation for the next few days.
If you're needing that get away trip, do it!
We have faced so much, and the getaway was just what our bodies and minds needed to relax and rewind. We stayed from Saturday to Saturday. Sunday and Monday we're all-day beach days, plenty of kite flying happening. Tuesday became a partial rest day where I tried desperately to get the worse itch to go away, but later we went shopping and a boat ride which we ride around the island and saw some dolphins. Wednesday, we headed back out to the beach with less to carry down as not all of the toys were played with by little. On the walk back even more sunburn, but no matter what I still get some even if we lather the sunscreen on. Thursday was our friend's birthday, so we tried some new food and had some wonderful fellowship. Friday was a packing day and a little bit of a pool day and was followed by a walk along the prier. The prier showed us an incredible variety of sea life; from jelly fish, a sea turtle, a shark and a good bit of dolphins. Seeing a dolphin chase after someone's catch was downright comical.
Either way, everyday held its own little adventure.
Saturday was our coming home day. I did of course get to go on a book hunt. Something I always love to do no matter where I end up. (One year on a scholarship to London I went bookstore hopping. It truly is one of my favorite things to do.) We got coffee and food for the road and headed home.
God is so good! We were blessed with travel mercies. Now, we're home settled and ready for bed.
I hope you take the time to dive deep into some good relaxation and God's word tonight. I hope you sleep well, Friend. And remember, stay blessed!
