Your Purpose-Day Three

But picking up where we left off; I'd like to start with the next points to finding your purpose.

We've established a relationship, and a refreshing of that relationship with God, but now let's move forward with, Living our Life of Purpose.

1.) Glorifying God

  • God's ultimate purpose for creation, including you, is for His glory. This means living in a way that brings honor and praise to Him in all you do.

Now, if you're new to this walk, you may have that little thought that comes up. "Is God so selfish, that the only reason He made us is because he wanted worshippers? STOP! This is a direct lie from the enemy. I'll explain, as Christians we are under direct attack, constantly. Satan already knows everything to do to wear us down. You see the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). That is all he knows, he has no new tricks, he's not going to change the game up on you, he can't. And the way you can decipher what is straight from the enemy, or even your flesh talking is by getting involved with like-minded Christians.

You see, if you get around people who are also in this faith walk with you, you will find out we have all been plagued with these thoughts.

One of our leaders at church spent some time talking to me a few weeks ago, and as I was telling them what thoughts were constantly flooding my mind, they told me, "I've had those hit me, as well." It was like a revelation that, "Hey, I am not alone here. This is straight from the enemy lines." That is why we need to take every single thought captive (2 Corinthians 10:5). If it is not of a good report; what is true, pure, lovely, or of praise (Philippians 4:8), then take up your shield of faith and take the authority God gave you to fight the arrows of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-18).

Living a life that brings honor and praise to God in all we do, has nothing to do with God being selfish or just wanting worshippers. It has everything to do with His heart. God wants our lives to be blessed and have purpose. He wants to be our friend and savior. Why else would He have sent His one and only son to save us (John 3:16)? He protects us in ways we ourselves can never think or imagine. He gave us the keys for eternity with Him.

Which goes along with our next point.

2.) Serving Others

  • God calls us to love and serve others, attending to their needs and showing compassion.

Mark 10:45"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Keep this in mind as you go through the rest of the week. One of the toughest things we have to do is serve others. Dealing with people no matter where they are, who they are, or how they treat you; you still have to do well by others. Even when it is hard.

3.) Using Your Gifts

  • God has given you unique talents and gifts, both natural and spiritual, to use in service to Him and to others.

Romans 12:6"We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us."

1 Peter 4:10"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."

God has blessed each of us with important gifts.

As we journey through life, our purpose is not found in fleeting successes or worldly recognition, but in glorifying God, serving others, and using the gifts He has given us. When we choose to live for Him, every action—big or small—becomes an offering of faith.

Glorifying God means reflecting His love in all we do, whether through our words, our work, or the way we carry ourselves in daily life. Serving others reminds us that we are called to be His hands and feet, extending kindness, compassion, and grace to those around us. And using our gifts is not just an act of personal fulfillment—it’s a divine responsibility, a way to honor the One who entrusted them to us.

If you are unsure of your calling, pray diligently for clarity, trusting that God will reveal the path He has prepared for you. Your purpose is not something you have to chase—it is already within you, waiting to be fully embraced.

Let us walk boldly in obedience, trusting that our faith, our service, and our unique gifts are not just for us, but for His greater glory. When we align our hearts with God’s will, we will not only find purpose but live it with unwavering conviction.

Stay Blessed,
