A Homestead Update from the Quiet Middle

I’ve been quiet lately—not because nothing’s happening, but because everything is happening slowly. The kind of slow that involves sinus fog, chick fluff, and deer with Olympic aspirations.

My manuscript is in the hands of my editor, and while I wait, I’ve been slowly working on the graphics for my children’s book. The publisher is patiently waiting for me to finish them so we can move forward with the next phase. It’s a slow process, but I’m learning to...

Let me just start by saying: I love Jesus. I really do. But today? I nearly threw my computer across the room.

I was trying to cancel an Adobe subscription early—thinking I’d just pay a small fee and move on. Turns out, “early cancellation” means you still pay the full amount.

The week went off without a hitch!

It was the absolute best time. Despite the sunburn and the itchy skin, the trip was relaxing. We ate some really good food. We tried a place called Lulu's--while the wait times were long, the food was delicious.

We had sand in our hair and every piece of luggage, so we have plenty to remember the vacation for the next few days.
