Hey Friend and Welcome back to my little corner of the interweb...
I want to talk to the mamas, to the seasoned wives, and to the overstimulated besties fighting through those first new years of marriage.
How are you doing?
If your answer is anything besides, "Blessed and Highly Favored," maybe something else comes to mind, let's pray.
God,
I come to you now, asking for help for my sisters in Christ. Lord, for whatever she's facing I ask that you keep your guiding hand on her, her mind, heart and spirit. Lord, fill any emptiness she may be feeling. Mend any brokenness she may be trying to piece back together. Father for any scar unhealed, any pain unspoken, and any pits of fear, Lord draw her out. Father, you know her needs best. You know everything she's facing and everything she is living through. So, Father only you know how to truly help her. Father, we ask that only your will be done, now. We give it all to you. In Jesus Name We Pray, AMEN!
Sis, it's going to be okay. You will make it through this. It will get better.
It may not change overnight. It may not change within the day, but one day it will be better. Being faithful to who God has entrusted you to be, can be daunting. But remember in my earlier blog, "Do it for God" (Midnight Epiphany- Do it for God. | F.A.S.P), we do not do this life for anyone else except Him, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. Jesus Christ alone.
And YES! It is hard. It is trying and it is overwhelming a lot of the time. You are not alone. I deal with issues just like everyone else. Marriage is not the happy fairytale ending we were promised as little girls. Marriage is hard. It takes hard work, a lot of compromise, and patience. So many factors that people do not take into account can cause marriage to be a hardship, rather than a blessing.
That's when you really have to take your mindset into account. What factors are causing strain in your day? In your mind? In your heart? How can you fix those issues?
Make yourself a list of everything you're facing. Everything that's bothering you and get a clear picture of the things that are overwhelming you. And don't hold back. Write it all down and get it out. Now, once you can see all of it in front of you. Find scriptures that go along with those problems.
Try using this site, Bible Concordances: Multi-version, Strong's, Englishman's, NASEC, you can type in any keyword and see verses that go along with that particular thing.
If you have any other bible concordance (there may be one in the back of your bible), really look through it and find what helps. Once you have all of this done. And you can see it and the verses you have found to go along with each point or problem, pray over them. Put the scripture to work and give it to God. Do this every time it comes up. God's word tells us to "pray without ceasing." (1 Thessalonians 5:17) If you can't find a scripture put in its place, "Lord I give this to you. Let your will be done and not my will over this thing." You can do that for all of them, but if you can speak the word, speak it. Getting God's word down on the inside of you will help you in ways you can never understand. (Romans 10:17)
Don't put a time stamp on this either. Remember Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, Because it will certainly come; it will not delay."
Our timeline is not like God's so this practice may take a while before you see results. Faith is always tested, and the harder you fight the stronger your faith becomes.
Things always work out for our good. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you, not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future."
And if you are still struggling or having a hard time, I'd love to pray with you, one on one. Everyone deserves someone they can pour their hearts out to and not feel judge. God is always that for us, but there are people in this world that can be a small help in that way, too. So, my inbox is open. Whenever you're ready!
Stay Blessed,
-FASP
