When His grace rolls in on storm clouds.

Hey Friend and welcome back to my little corner of the internet,

My husband had surgery today.

My truck broke down.

The homestead still needs tending to.

If I told you all of that and never gave you anymore context, I’d imagine you’d think, wow that’s a very rough day. Maybe even a negative day.

And for some you would be right.

We live in a world where we wonder why we never see God doing the huge miracles like He used to. With your natural eyes you might see a God who stopped doing miracles all together.

But can I tell you… He’s still a miracle working God. Small victories are miracles. Miraculous is nice and all, but I’m a simple girl when it comes to my walk with God. Sure, I have big dreams but whatever He wants to give me fits me just fine.

You see my manna this morning was eating a Mamies (small breakfast place in my hometown) chicken biscuit at my grandmothers table while my toddler ran around like it was home.

My pillar of fire in the dark of night was my husband going in for knee surgery and the doctor doing a few stitches and cleaning up some cartilage. Making his recovery only 4 weeks and then he can start walking again.

My favor as I entered into the King’s court was my truck driving the hour back home from the hospital and shutting down as I put it in park; parked safely in my garage.

My parting of the red sea was the rain waiting until I’d finished setting hubby up on the couch and fixing his ice machine, bathing my sleepy toddler, both are now sleeping soundly. Tending to all of my animals which include, 2 obnoxious huskies, a silly kitten, 3 bunnies, 9 miniature chickens, and 15 bantam/mix breed chickens. Blessing my sweet little mail lady with some eggs and closing up the barn as the drizzles began.

It didn’t rain for long. I made it inside and cleaned up myself, because hey, hospitals… but now the sun is out. We’re safe at home, the truck will keep, 4 weeks will fly by, and dinners in the crockpot.

You may not see the red sea parted or manna fall from the sky. You may not have to walk into the King’s court and risk your life to save your people. You may not ever face a giant named Goliath and save an army.

But you can see miracles every day.

You only need to look.

Stay blessed. For such a time as this.
