Hey friends and welcome back to my little corner of the internet,
It’s been a little while since my last update, and I’m grateful you’re here. Our home has been hit with a bit of sickness, and of course the holidays swept in and took over as they always seem to do. Between wrapping gifts, driving from house to house, and taking down the holiday decor then packing everything away again, it felt like life was moving faster than I could keep up.
Even so, I’ve been able to take the next steps in the publishing process. The book is officially finished and reviewed, and now I’m working through the behind the scenes details: filing for copyright, setting up distribution accounts, and signing the last bits of paperwork the publisher needs.
This journey has been almost two years in the making. I’ve rewritten sections, redone illustrations, searched for the right publisher and editor, and poured countless hours into making this story the best it can be. It’s one of the most meticulous projects I’ve ever taken on. I catch every tiny flaw, the blessing and curse of being a perfectionist, but I just want it to be good. Good enough that when someone brings it home, it becomes a story they return to again and again.
I supposed all authors want to be someone's favorite, I can't say I'm any different when it comes to that. Hard work always comes with some sort of reward. What kind of reward really depends on what you're doing it all for.
More than anything, I’m hoping this book becomes a blessing. I pray that God uses it to speak to anyone who reads it, children, parents, grandparents, anyone who needs a gentle reminder tucked inside a biblically sound story.
A few friends have already read the first physical proof, and my favorite response came from my neighbor. After she finished, I asked her, “Well, what do you think?”
She smiled and said, “I know a few adults who need to read it.”
That meant the world to me. Yes, it’s a children’s book, but my heart has always been to create something the whole family can take something from. And so far, it seems I’m on the right track.
Thank you for walking this journey with me. Stay tuned, the official release date is coming soon!
Stay Blessed!
